John Rogers and Mary Byrd had 9 children. One of their sons was the father of Edmund Rogers our ggggrand father. Their daughter Ann Rogers (1728-1798) married John Clark (10 children), their son George Rogers Clark (a founder of Louisville) and his younger brother William Clark (Lewis and Clark fame) was a first cousin to Edmund Rogers. That makes George Rogers and William Clark my first cousin 5 times removed.
